This little item is sold in some
department stores in Thailand. Called “Spark Killer Bat” by Little
Angel, it looks like a plastic tennis racket with metal strings. The
“strings:” are interdigitated wires connected to a 0.22
microfarad capacitor charged to about 400 volts.The manufacturer
thoughfully labeled the retail package in
Thai with a warning that it is not good for small children.
